“In a world filled with fear - we have a message of hope. And the message is this - Jesus has a place for you in the Kindom of God. This is not a place where we gather together with just others who think like us and look like us. We are called together and sent out to find those who identify as the least, the lost, and the lonely.  We are called to go to those on the outside of the walls of the church - to find the poor, the oppressed, the blind - and invite them into the body of Christ." (paraphrased from Pastor Todd Iverson's Sunday sermon)

When you belong to the body of Christ - you have purpose.

It’s one of those little things - that is really not so little. And we forget, and we need to be reminded.  So take a moment and set down your baggage.  I mean really, set it down. You who are in need of a breath, you who are feeling broken, you who are worn out, dejected, lost.  Take a moment to remember that you are a child of God.  That you are a blessed holy being, created in the image of the One who created the universe.

God created you - your very being -  with a purpose in mind…and you claim that purpose by living out your identity as a child of God.  By living into the passions that give you   life - in the places where the world is in need.  These are the places that God calls us into actively taking part in the story of God in this place.

Can you hear God calling to you?  What is being asked of you in this time and place?  Can you start by seeing yourself as a holy child of God?

Let’s start there…and find the places where we see the face of God in the world around us…

Peace,
Pastor Erin
