“My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” – John 10:27

There’s something deeply comforting about these words from Jesus. In just one sentence, Jesus reminds us of three powerful truths:

1 - we are His,
2 - He knows us,
3 - we can hear Him.

In a world that’s full of noise; notifications, opinions, worries, distractions, it’s easy to wonder if we’re really tuned into what matters. But Jesus says His sheep hear His voice. That means Jesus is speaking…and we can recognize when it is Him. Not always in loud, dramatic ways, but in quiet nudges, in Scripture that stirs something in us, in the peace that settles when we pray.

Jesus also says, “I know them.” Not just facts about us, but really knows us: our hearts, our struggles, our joys, our doubts. There’s nothing we have to fake with Him. He knows us and still calls us His own.

And finally: “They follow me.” That’s our part. To respond. To trust His voice, even when the path feels uncertain. Following Jesus doesn’t mean we’ll always have it figured out, but it does mean we never walk alone.
This week, take a moment to quiet the noise and listen. Jesus is still speaking. The Shepherd knows your name, and He’s leading you with love.

Questions to reflect on:
●     Where have you sensed God speaking to you lately?
●     What helps you recognize His voice?
●     Is there an area in your life where Jesus is calling you to follow more closely?

Grace and peace, Pastor Erin
