“I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” -  Luke 18:8

Jesus ends this parable with a piercing question: “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

It’s a sobering moment. After assuring us of God's nearness and responsiveness, Jesus invites us to turn inward: What does faith actually look like in our lives?

Faith, according to this parable, isn’t just belief, it is persistence. It is showing up in prayer, trusting in God’s justice, and not losing heart in a world that often delays it. Faith is lived in the quiet places of perseverance.

It is also lived in the way we steward what we’ve been given. Because our giving is an act of faith, and especially when it’s sacrificial or intentional. It is saying: "God, I believe you are at work even when I don’t see the outcome yet. I trust that your justice and goodness are on the move."

As we journey in this season of stewardship, let us be reminded that it is not just about raising a budget. It’s about raising a response; of gratitude, of hope, of deep and persistent faith. Every pledge, every offering is a declaration: “Yes, Lord. You will find faith here.”

A Word of Hope: God’s justice is not delayed. It is alive and coming. In the waiting, let your faith be found in how you pray, serve, and give.
Reflection: Where is God inviting me to respond in faith - even if it stretches my comfort? How does my giving reflect my trust?

Peace, Pastor Erin
